About Us.

The Children’s Center of Weston provides outdoor activities, gym time, homework time and project time. We have fun making friends, completing puzzles, playing board games and participating in theme activities.  Our focus is developing social skills and friendships in a nurturing and safe setting.

The center opens at school dismissal and operates until 6:00 pm. We offer two pick up times, one at 4:30 pm and one at 6:00 pm. You have up until one of those times chosen to pick up your child.

We offer vacation programming during February and April Vacation. We also offer sign-up days for days your child is regularly enrolled on teacher professional days or days of low attendance when the public schools are closed.

The Children’s Center opens for early dismissal days for children enrolled on Wednesdays with a Wednesday fee.

The Kindergarten and the First grade and the Second grade site are located at the Woodland School. Children that attend the Woodland School walk to their classroom at dismissal. Children that attend the Country School take a bus from Country School to Woodland School at dismissal.

The Third, Fourth and Fifth grade site is located at the Country School. Children in third grade that attend Country School walk to their classroom at dismissal. Children that attend the Woodland School or Field School in Third through Fifth grade take a bus from Woodland School and Field School to the Country School at dismissal.

In September the Children’s Center offers care to Kindergartners at early release each day and every Wednesday once the Kindergartners go to full day after the first week of school.

CCW was lucky to have two long time teachers over many years.

-Roofus - James - Hoffmann joined the Childen’s Center of Weston in 1986! He was a teacher at CCW for 30+ years and was part of many children and teachers lives - a legacy! This year, 2021-2022 he moves on to the next chapter and will enjoy time with his family and continue his morning work in his own business continuing home construction updates. We miss Roofus’s Pizza and Fun Grandpa Style but are lucky as he is our hero sub teacher and best of all times teacher!

-Dale - Nora - Hoffmann joined the Children’s Center of Weston and worked in two different periods of time combining 28 years at CCW. Dale - and her delicious snacks, among a long list of other special things and great ways working with children, are missed greatly at CCW. Dale will continue to work with children closer to home with a lesser commute. We miss great games and fun with Dale!

Wishing Dale and Roofus the best in their new chapters for 2021-2022 and beyond! There is always a special place and long legacy for Dale and Roofus at CCW. We hope one day they will visit - or return! - and we wish them the best in all endeavors.
